Kundalini is a powerful spiritual energy, our un-manifested potential, which lies dormant at the base of the spine, within the root chakra. When awakened, it rises up through the central energetic channel (Sushumna nadi) to the crown of the head, activating each of the 7 chakras on the way.
As the chakras are interconnected with the different silent areas of the brain, their activation leads to a reprogramming of the nervous system. This ascent of energy is commonly represented by a snake, a symbol of transformation according to tantric and yogic traditions. In Hinduism, Kundalini is considered to be the life-force energy, or cosmic energy, connected to Shakti, the divine feminine principle.
The awakening of Kundalini is a process of inner transformation that can lead to an expansion of consciousness, emotional, mental, spiritual, and sometimes physical healing, as well as a deep alignment of the being.
Once awakened, this energy carries out a cleansing not only of our energetic body, but also of our life in general. It progressively frees us from that which limits us and is not in alignment with our Being.
The awakened Kundalini connects us to something greater, and can connect us to Nature, to the Universe, revealing our extrasensory abilities (intuition, spiritual abilities, ...) and often bringing more joy and lightness to our life.
